I just got back…
from a fantastic photo shoot with a wonderfully happy family. (I’m so looking forward to sharing their photographs!)
While I was with them I remembered how much I loved our little camping trip during our Staycation.
(I can’t believe I still haven’t shared how super de duper fantastic our Staycation was and all of the fun stuff we did! I need to get with the program and get those posted.)
While on our camping trip were almost drenched in a complete downpour. We grabbed everything and ran into our tent before we ended up soaked to the bone in 5 seconds flat.
Gracie and storms are not friends.
We had been hoping to get some reading in and realized that this was the perfect distraction from the super loud thunder and lightning that were raging all around us. We were anxious to find out what the Baudelaires were up to. We cozied up into our blankets and we got to reading. Even though it was dark and rainy outside…inside our tent the light bouncing around with us was so beautiful.
My sweet family, reading, and beautiful light… I’d like to get lost in that Bermuda triangle.
So glad that Mike captured these images of the kids and I reading. This is our life almost every night of the week. I love it and miss it when it doesn’t happen.
Even the leak in our tent that started doing that chinese torture thing on our heads didn’t deter us from Violet, Claus, and Sunny’s adventures.
These little 15 minute moments define deliciously wonderful familyness.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend…familyness wishes going out to you!
