How to have an Un-Pinterest Worthy Party

the end comes quickly…

The last days of school feel like they come in on the wings of a 747 going 500 miles an hour.  I always think that I’m ready for it and usually end up vowing to myself as it zips on by….I will be more on top of things next year.

That’s why I try to have an un-pinterest worthy party at the end of the school year.  My kids look forward to it and it’s now become an annual event that we all love.  It’s an excellent way to end the school year and herald the start of summer.

If you’ve already had the last day of school it’s not to late to have a ‘Welcome Summer!’ party.  The official first day of summer is June 21st!

The most ideal way to have an un-pinterest worthy party is to do minimal work and spend minimal money.  That’s it.  Super easy.  I think our Last Day Of School party fits that bill.

Miriam, Emma, Grace, and I decided to put together a how-to video just for you!  We have made a little list of tips on  how to have an easy and fun summer party.  (If you’re seeing this in your email inbox click here to see the video.)

The list of supplies for this party:

Pool (walmart or fred’s)

Water balloons

Banners from a past party

Flowers cut from fields and put in glass jars (optional)

Bendy straws (soda pop section of walmart)

Veggie tray

Grapes and Strawberries

Chips

Popsicles

Total price: $60-$75 (for 10 kids)

We hope that these tips help you to create something that is super easy, almost no stress, and lots of fun for this summer.

Easy and inexpensive=Crazy lots of fun.
